Contemporary Central West End Penthouse
Blocks away from Forest Park, one of America’s most celebrated metropolitan parks, stands another kind of restorative urban oasis – this Central West End penthouse. The high rise residence, designed by Dana Romeis, features the perfect blend of drama and harmony, with soaring ceilings and calming clean lines.
The space was designed to command attention. From the glimmering Ingo Maurer chandelier to the dynamic textured fireplace, every detail was planned to be striking yet balanced. Upon walking in the great room entrance, the ceiling line, in a lacquered finish, strategically directs your attention to a dramatic double-height wall of windows, which are cloaked in an ethereal sheer drapery.
The team designed custom casework throughout to provide ample storage for the homeowners, who were moving from a 6,000-square-foot suburban home into this 3,500-square-foot city high rise. This beautiful yet functional storage, shown in a rift-cut oak with washed silver glaze, ensures that the light-filled space remains peaceful and uncluttered, and perfectly frames the homeowners’ modern art collection.
A sophisticated, sleek and modern urban retreat, this unique space is destined for stylish dinner parties, as well as quiet afternoons by the fireplace
