Billy G’s Kirkwood
In the heart of Kirkwood, Billy G’s stands as a neighborhood staple, even though this restaurant just recently opened its doors. The owners tasked the design team with creating an authentic space that would naturally complement its quintessential Kirkwood setting of specialty shops, turn-of-the-century buildings and the handsome historic train station.
In renovating the generous 5,900-square-foot property, the team designed a space that was as nostalgic as the restaurant’s tried-and-true Italian family recipes.
Striking large scale light fixtures add dramatic focal points throughout the space. Reclaimed wood finishes, including vertical cladding made from recycled shipping pallets and a bar top made from old gymnasium bleachers, add to the restaurant’s charm.
The team designed an upscale wine-and-dine-worthy patio featuring oversized woven booth seating, handsome landscaping, a fire feature and nostalgic string globe lighting that gives a soft glow to the lively atmosphere.
The scene, the socializing and the genuine atmosphere make Billy G’s the go-to neighborhood hangout.
