MASTERING THE DETAILS, AN UPSCALE MASTER BATH

As any seasoned interior designer will tell you – successful design is found in the details. Such is the case with this elegant master bathroom redesign. From the recessed niches to the stone shower bench with its classical curved base, every element was designed to the detail, to be both beautiful and functional.

With thoughtful and creative planning, the designer transformed the space to function for the way the homeowners live now. By removing the unused bathtub, she had ample space to create the ideal luxury shower, with marble finishes and state-of-the-art fixtures, including therapeutic body sprays.

The calming blue gray wall color warms up and otherwise cool white space, while polished fixtures and hardware add a bit of sparkle. Natural materials were used throughout to match the classic and timeless elements of the historic residence. Thassos, a pure white marble with brilliant crystalline color, is paired with iridescent Rivershell in the hand-laid basket weave floor tile.

Utilizing classic clean lines and the symmetry of matching sinks, mirrors and sconces, this tranquil, marble-lined master bathroom is in complete and perfect harmony.
