MASTER SUITE RENOVATION IN HISTORIC HOME

This renovation took place in the childhood home of T. S. Eliot which has landmark status. The homeowners wanted all the modern amenities in their master suite along with a sophisticated look that would blend seamlessly with the many historic characteristics of the home they cherished. By referencing some of the timeless features and carefully bringing in new elements, designer Emily Castle was able to strike the right balance and capture the elegance of this stately home in a way that feels remarkably fresh.

“We hired Emily Castle shortly after moving into an historic home in St. Louis. Her architecture background and experience with many style homes was a true asset. She created a beautiful, unique powder room on the main floor where none had existed previously. She then designed our master bedroom, bathroom, walk-in closet from disjointed spaces on the second floor. Her vision in both projects was amazing. She listened to our ideas, then came up with great options so we could personalize the spaces. Very professional, very talented, easy to work with. We recommend her highly and will continue to use her on upcoming projects.” – Homeowner
