A CLASSIC BATH

Nestled in a quiet neighborhood in Town & Country, this traditional home boasts stunning outdoor views and classic details. The goal of this primary bath renovation was to create a beautiful space where the clients could age in place. The designer carefully selected details to accomplish this vision, ensuring beauty and function were in every decision.

The large walk-in shower was updated to become more accessible and appealing. The shower’s threshold was removed to create a smooth transition in and out of the shower, and an elegant floating bench was installed to add elevated function to the space. The previously oversized tile floors were replaced with a tight mosaic to create an anti-slip surface and to add a stunning detail.

Drawing inspiration from the client’s love of gray, a mint-gray toile wallpaper from Schumacher provided a jumping-off point for the color palette in the space. From here, traditional rift-sawn white oak vanities with a Danube-honed marble countertop were chosen to complement the warm and cool tones in the bathroom. Classic polished nickel sconces flank the custom gold mirrors from Frame of Mind to add a sprinkle of luxury. A chic marble baseboard is an unexpected layer that elevates the bathroom, and elegant polished nickel hardware from Top Knobs perfectly complements the details in the space.

Polished, functional and beautiful, this primary bath is a stunning renovation in this classic home.
