OLD-FASHIONED ALLURE

Recalling the golden days of Hollywood, this stunning powder room pays homage to the glamourous
and sophisticated interiors of the silver screen. Here, the stage is set with a beautiful marble
basketweave mosaic floor complemented by black textured wall tiles, and topped with a deco inspired
wallcovering. Rich furnishings, like the elegant brass sink console create a centerpiece worthy of
everyone’s attention. A striking brass floor length mirror reflects the dramatic space, while the intricate
vanity mirror features a unique hand forged metal frame finished in a lightly antiqued gold leaf.
The organic, scalloped edge design of the vanity mirror adds a focal point that creates a certain
vibrance and depth to the space.

Adding brass accents was the perfect way to turn things up a notch, and to lean in on the luxe layers
presented within this space. The DXV wall mounted faucet in satin brass, pairs beautifully with the gold
legs of the sink console. The Visual Comfort Castle Peak bath sconces gleam brightly with it’s soft brass
finish and clear textured glass design.

The designer set out to create a nod to the past with this black-tie powder room, fit for Mr. Gatsby
himself. Adjacent to the wash room, is the water closet donned with a unique floor mount urinal,
bringing a bit of luxury that you would see in fancy boutique hotels and high-end restaurants.
With its exquisitely detailed marble, dark saturated paint, statement-making wallcovering, and old-
fashioned allure, this jewel-box bath proves that often times the smallest of rooms can have the biggest
impact. It takes a thoughtful approach to ensure the end result becomes a cohesive, well-planned
design, expressed with richness and depth, and the designer was able to accomplish a space that feels
exactly like the art deco hideaway the homeowner desired.
