Shannon believes that a well-designed home should be functional and comfortable as well as aesthetically pleasing, and takes pride in her creative and intuitive approach to space planning and attention to scale and proportion. She avoids trends and prioritizes a design approach that not only reflects the client’s personality and suits their lifestyle, but also honors the client’s investment by sourcing selections that will still feel fresh in years to come.

Shannon has a life-long appreciation for the positive impact that living in a beautiful environment irrefutably has on enhancing daily life and providing a tranquil retreat from a fast-paced world. Growing up as the daughter of both a prominent St. Louis custom home builder and a highly acclaimed interior designer, Shannon is no stranger to good design and the power it has to inspire and enhance the quality of life.

Shannon’s passion for the appreciation and creation of beautiful surroundings led her back to her roots after relocating back to St. Louis. She joined her mother’s design firm where she was tutored with great attention to every aspect of interior design and her natural eye for design flourished. After a number of years working as a team together with her mother on all variety of design projects, from new build construction and remodels to aesthetic reinventions, Shannon joined Castle Design.
